The magic of light and dark meeting
and being playful together is what this
piece is about to me.
The eucalyptus dyed felt lifts and grounds through the weathered landscape.
And the touches of russet and rose are benevolent.

I am setting off on an expedition through colour, light ,shape and texture
to find my father.
I knew ti would be a major undertaking.

Sailboats and crescent moons and the
movement of water have captured my imagination . Rust, stitchery and acrylic paint are part of this journey.

I moved to Vermont in 2014 and learned a few things this decade .
In a workshop with
Elizabeth Bunsen we learned the processes of rusting, indigo dyeing and eucalyptus steaming. I enjoy incorporating these processes into my work. They add so much richness and earthiness.

My work is influenced by the colours and textures of nature.
I work to create pieces that are
visually stunning and emotionally impactful.
Being a member of Dragonheart since 2016
has been an emotionally meaningful experience.
a combo of beauty, camaraderie and positivity.

I begin each piece with a vision in mind, but allow the materials and my instincts to guide me as I work. I believe that the process of creating art is as fulfilling as the finished piece.... perhaps more fulfilling.
